About

A native of Vancouver Washington, Briley began dancing when she was four years old, training in ballet, tap, jazz, and modern dance. She discovered Pilates as a teenager and found it to be a useful cross-training tool to increase her body awareness, power, and strength. Briley began her professional dance career with Atlanta Ballet from 2010-2012, Nevada Ballet Theatre and Ballet Tucson following. She moved back to Portland in 2015 to expand her boundaries in dance and performance and is currently dancing with push/FOLD.

 

Leaving full-time dancing behind, Briley began teaching STOTT Pilates in 2016. She utilizes her background in dance and athleticism to expand her clients’ body awareness, teaching them more efficient movement patterns. She believes the mind-body connection practiced in Pilates can be transferred over into every aspect of life. Briley encourages her clients to work internally, offering creative imagery and tactile cueing. She enjoys working with clients of all ages and backgrounds seeking overall health and wellness, athletic training, injury prevention, or rehabilitation.
